Dungeon Construction Co. Launches September 6!

Posted by Enzo on August 31, 2017

Hemsthor's Beard, it's finally happened! After over a decade of meticulous volcano research, bureaucratic maneuvering, and other important-sounding buzzwords, we are pleased to announce that the webcomic Dungeon Construction Co. will be published exclusively by Tapas and will be launching Wednesday, September 6, 2017!

Where will I be able to read the comic?

Visit DungeonComic.com in your browser, and it will take you to Tapas' website where you'll be able to read and purchase episodes of Dungeon Construction Co. You can also read and purchase episodes on the Tapas mobile app, available for both iOS and Android.

Wait. "Purchase"? Why isn't it free to read?

Many of the introductory episodes will be available to read for free. We want to give you ample time to formulate an opinion of the comic before you decide it's worth your time and investment. For the episodes that will be locked behind a paywall, we did our best to keep the cost as low and as accessible as possible. We've been publishing webcomics independently for free online for over a decade, so this isn't a decision we took lightly -- in an ideal world, all of our work would be free to read forever. At the end of the day, the cost allows us to dedicate ourselves full-time to making comics at the highest quality we can offer and helps support Tapas and its community of creators.

How much will it cost?

Each episode will cost several cents at most. Episodes can be unlocked using Tapas' in-app coin currency, which you can obtain from watching advertisements or purchasing with real money. The exact conversion rate seems to be a KFC's-seven-herbs-and-spices level secret, but if you need a point of reference, you should be able to unlock one episode of Dungeon Construction Co. by watching an ad or two on the Tapas app. As an added bonus, if you sign up for a Tapas account with the invite code ENZO375E, you'll receive 200 free coins!

Thank you so much everyone for your undying patience and support. Dungeon Construction Co. has been a passion project that we've wanted to launch for years, and to see it grow from a throwaway joke idea to being picked up by a publisher and being primed for release is surreal. It feels like an incredible journey and we haven't even really started yet. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy creating it.

Visit the series on Tapas today to view a sneak peek at the company overview -- and don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss an update!

See you next week!

All the best,

Enzo, Jose, and Luke

Oh no! That's so weird. The invite code thing should have appeared on the second screen after you first submit your e-mail and password (where it asks for your username)!
